Location
This unique fishery is located in the Dargle valley and set in a quiet, mature wooded valley, approximately 1 mile (1.5km) south of Enniskerry village and 0.5 miles (1 km) south of the main gates of Powerscourt estate, 13 miles (20 km) from Dublin City Centre.
The Lake
The lake is located in a secluded valley beside the River Dargle and is spring-fed. It comprises 4 acres (1.8 hectares) of crystal clear water, made interesting by being well designed; it is laid out with peninsulas, coves and five islands. The lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout of the highest quality, with full fins and tails. They are very strong and hard fighting with good numbers up to 16 lbs (7kg) in weight. A minimum of 10lbs breaking strain leader line is recommended. Tuition in fly casting is available all year round.
